Again, hug your loved ones. Over and over again.
And then again.

It's not really Monday...
It is if you are at work...
Santa is stretching it out with Rudolph and the gang while we stuff ourselves silly and get ridiculed for having too much wine with dinner. Back off Mom!
Fun decorations for you to distract yourself with below.

SANTA IS COMING!!!
Dear Santa,
I've been pretty good and I would like to humbly say that I think I should be on the "nice list" this year.
Just in case. A few ideas below...

Twerk it Werk it WEDNESDAY
It's hump day after all...
You survived Monday. Congrats!
If I were a betting kinda of girl I would put money on you being pretty productive yesterday (Tuesday). Apparently Mondays and Tuesdays are the most productive days of the week and it's all downhill from there. I disagree with the Monday portion of that, but they're probably referring to actual adults.
This brings us to today: Wednesday. How do you keep up the momentum? You were proud of yourself yesterday! You even thought, this isn't so bad. Why was I checking my bank account balance on Monday at 11:00 to see how long I could survive if I walked out the door right.this.second?
We've all been there. I am slowly but surely hanging on to the feeling of: ok, I can do this and I probably won't die. I'm actually excited at the prospect of working through this, that, and the other.
Another friend advised me recently, "One foot in front of the other." In the age of texting, email, facebook, instagram, snapchat - I'm sure I'm leaving something out - I find it hard to focus and keep my eye on the prize.
That being said (back to this being a design(ish) blog - check out these stairs which are much more than getting from point A to point B. Same could be said about getting through the week. Ok I'm off my soap box. GET SOME. And #color
The angle and perspective on this has to be so spot on. Who doesn't love polka dots?

I wish I could give credit where credit is due here, but it's from this tumblr account via Pinterest. You should absolutely paint the underside of your grand staircase poppy red.

Motivational....Monday
#mondaze
When I was working at a firm (pick one) I would get the Sunday scaries as though Monday was bringing imminent death. What 20-something year old can't empathize with this sentiment? A mixture of too much fun, not enough sleep, and dreading the boss equals a cocktail of 2 parts snarl emoji, one part mad red face emoji, and a garnish of wide eyed gritting teeth emoji. You know you are of generation Y when you write THAT confidently knowing your readers will understand. SMH.
While working for myself, I have been gradually learning how to stay motivated and keep on keepin on. Mondays are usually the day I take to sleep in a bit, regroup, and attempt to set standards for the rest of the week. Don't hold me to that, but I'm taking it one Monday at a time.
When I say this, I don't mean to preach - not my style. The point of this is that I think it's healthy to approach the week with the mentality of easing in to it rather than dreading it. Much easier said than done, but food for thought.
I'm going to veer off topic a tad. Winter is encroaching on our 60 degree December weekend. It's inevitable. Post gift giving, I need to escape to Mexico bi weekly. Not want. NEED.
I don't remember where I saw this article, but I promptly sent it to my mother who proudly reminds me of my Norwegian descent. I often dread winter like I do Mondays, but this article presents a positive outlook on how to embrace the next several months and I'm into it.
An excerpt regarding complaining about the cold, "This is easy enough to change; simply refuse to participate in the Misery Olympics." So true.

On that note, ease up Monday - I can't handle your auto formatting nonsense so I'm going to do the below...
Since this is meant to be a design blog AND speaking of setting the tone for the week...This is great.
In conclusion: chin up! It's almost Christmas break! If you don't celebrate the holiday that has us anticipating an overweight man in a red velour jumpsuit (I want it to say JUICY on his butt) breaking into your home via the chimney - at least you get time off from work - AMIRIGHT!?!

First Friday
Welcome to the Wills Design Associates blog!
I took a stab at blogging several years ago when blogging was getting "big". Gathering content and keeping on top of it was more than my 22 year old self was interested in doing. That being said, let's see how I fare at 30.
I can't think of a better day to begin fresh than a Friday. The weekend is around the corner, spirits are high, and it's almost the new year. I doubt I'm alone when I begin to reflect on this past year. What have I accomplished? What am I proud of? What made me the happiest?
I've had my business since 2010, but officially (meaning solely without it being a side project here and there) since January of this year. It has been both terrifying and insanely gratifying. One friend advised, "Get ready for a roller coaster of emotions." That may have been the best advice I got this year.
On that note let's get this roller coaster going. Oh, and hope you like a lot of pink.
These felt right...that's all.
Cheers to the Wills Design Associates blog and the journey to a #Fempire. #girlpower #willsworld
